Federal Electricity Industrial Building

Located in Sakarya, the Federal Electricity Industrial Building was completed in 1996. SIGMA carried out the structural design of the facility.

Located on a 25,000 m² site in Sakarya Arifiye 1st OIZ, the facility of Federal Elektrik, one of the world's leading manufacturers of low-voltage switchgear, was built before the 1999 Gölcük Earthquake. Structurally designed by SIGMA, this prefabricated facility was built with special measures that took the seismic characteristics of the region into account, and it came through the earthquake almost undamaged. The facility's management offices, totaling 6,000 m², were built as a three-storey reinforced concrete column-beam frame system.
