IVT-VITO Factory

The project, for which SIGMA undertook the multidisciplinary design, is located in Bergama OIZ.

SIGMA carried out the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and infrastructure design of the factory. With a footprint of over 15,000 m², this industrial building consists of a production hall, an administrative section and 5 large halls. To allow truck access, the column spacing was set at 20 m in the first hall and 25 m in the large halls. The load-bearing structure is reinforced concrete, and the roof is a steel truss. Column heights are 16 m. Since 50-ton heavy overhead cranes will operate in the halls, the column and foundation systems were designed accordingly. SIGMA also provided fire consultancy, including the fire escape plans.

20 m long-span in the main manufacturing hall and 25 m long-span in five large halls allow the trailers to enter inside for loading and unloading. The building has a steel roof truss and the primary load-bearing structure is reinforced-concrete. The height of columns is 16 m. The 50 tons of heavy-duty crane bridge travels on top of rails mounted on a runway beam supported by either the building columns or columns specifically engineered for the crane.
