Lady Diana Hotel

In the Lady Diana Hotel & Spa project in the Fatih district of Istanbul, SIGMA stripped the existing hotel building down to its load-bearing structure, after which the facade, roof and all finishing works were rebuilt.

Located among the historic sites of Sultanahmet, Lady Diana Hotel was renewed in 2020 through a comprehensive renovation/retrofitting project carried out under pandemic conditions. To strengthen the hotel, which has a construction area of 3,700 m², the building was stripped down to its load-bearing structure. In this hotel project with 80 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, a spa and a Turkish bath, the entire design was developed from scratch. SIGMA carried out the design and design management of the architecture, interior architecture, and electrical and mechanical installations, including the facade and roof.

We worked on this project under outbreak conditions constricting the office and construction works in 2020. First, we focused on the load-bearing system and strengthened it. The hotel's building area is about 3.700 sqm. We designed luxury 80 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, a spa, and a Turkish bath.

SIGMA's multidisciplinary team included architects and interior designers, structural, mechanical, electrical engineers, and technicians who worked in the BIM environment.
